We, at Update Reboot, believe that humanity, in its present state, is trapped in an outdated ‘operating system’ that promotes division, conflict, and exploitation. Instead of achieving genuine evolution, we have merely created more efficient means of destruction.
Our philosophy contends that the core of our collective strife is rooted in a negative energy that fuels war, death, and destruction. This destructive energy, we argue, operates like a virus within the human psyche, preventing the blossoming of our potential and leading us down a path of self-destruction.
However, we believe that humanity has the ability to confront and expel this virus from our collective consciousness. This can be achieved by updating our mental, emotional, and societal ‘operating systems’. Just as a computer needs regular updates and reboots to function efficiently, so too does the human psyche.
We advocate for an update to the current systems that govern our societies. Take for instance our constitution that has remained largely unchanged for decades, remaining resistant to vital updates like term limits, age limits, and campaign financial controls. These updates, we believe, could usher in a new era of fair management by qualified individuals, reducing the corrupting influence of unchecked corporate power.
Additionally, we believe in the necessity of ‘rebooting’ our societal structure, particularly with regards to the family unit. We observe the detrimental effects of father absence in homes and argue that this absence is a contributing factor to the moral decay and unfair practices rampant in society. By reinstating the father as a guiding figure in the family unit, we believe that children can receive the morally ethical upbringing needed to cultivate a society of fairness and integrity.
